Accounts
are insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation
(FDIC), an agency of the U.S. government. The safety of the funds you
deposit are guaranteed by the full faith and credit of the United States
of America. Your funds are fully insured up to at least $100,000. Self-directed retirement accounts are fully insured up to $250,000.
On October 3, 2008, FDIC deposit insurance temporarily increased from $100,000 to $250,000 per depositor through December 31, 2009.
FDIC insurance applies to all the accounts we offer regardless of citizenship or residency, including time deposit accounts, money market accounts, retirement accounts, as well as savings and checking accounts.
