At Far East National Bank, we value your trust and we know that privacy and security are important to you. We are committed to keeping your information confidential and secure.

When We Disclose Your Personal Information
We do not disclose any personal information about our customers or former customers to anyone, except as permitted by law.

We do not provide customer account numbers to third parties for marketing purposes. The following are some examples of what information we are permitted by law to disclose:

We sometimes rely on third parties to help us provide products and services. We may disclose all of the information we gather (as outlined above) to companies that perform marketing or other services for the Bank or to other financial institutions with which we have joint marketing agreements. This may include sharing information among banks linked to your accounts, through our CrossPacific Account service, or as part of InterContinental Financial Services. We require those third parties to maintain similar standards regarding the privacy and confidentiality of any personal information we provide to them, and these companies may use your information only to perform the services for which they were engaged.

We may disclose information to affiliated or nonaffiliated companies if it is necessary or appropriate to complete a transaction or to service your account; to report to a consumer or credit reporting agency; to comply with government or court orders, such as subpoenas and summonses; to report an apparent crime; or if you give us your consent.

Information Sharing with Affiliated Parties
NOTICE OF YOUR RIGHT TO OPT OUT
Far East National Bank is a subsidiary of SinoPac Holdings. Our corporate family includes financial services providers such as depository institutions, insurance agencies, and securities broker-dealers. In order to evaluate your needs and to process and service your transactions, we may share among our affiliated companies identification information about you, such as your name, address, and facts about your transactions and experience with us. This information is referred to as “experience information.”

In addition, we may also share “non-experience information” with our affiliates. Non-experience information includes information that is used, expected to be used, or collected for the purpose of establishing your eligibility for consumer credit, insurance, or deposit account, and is not related solely to your transactions or other experience with us. Non-experience information may include:

  • Information we obtain from your application, such as your income or marital status
  • Information we obtain from a consumer reporting agency, such as your credit history
  • Information we obtain from nonaffiliated third parties, such as your employer

Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, you may instruct the Bank not to share non-experience information with our affiliates by calling us at (866) 336-2872. Once we receive your opt-out request, we will stop sharing this information as soon as reasonably practicable. Your opt-out request will apply to all accounts you hold individually and to all accounts you hold jointly with other persons.

When We May Share Medical Information About You
If you apply for insurance from the Bank, we may receive medical information, such as information regarding your physical condition or health. This information is only shared with affiliates that require this information in order to process the application for insurance or provide the insurance for which you applied.

How We Protect the Confidentiality of the Information We Collect
We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who must know your information to provide services and products to you. Under no circumstances are the institution’s employees permitted to discuss, or otherwise reveal, your information with unauthorized persons. Our employees are required to treat all information collected about you confidentially. Our employees are bound by our code of conduct and this Privacy Policy, which requires them to adhere to its principles. The institution maintains physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your nonpublic personal information.

Our Commitment to Maintaining the Accuracy of the Information We Collect
We are committed to maintaining the accuracy of your personal information. If you are aware of any inaccurate information in the Bank’s records, you should contact us at the toll-free number provided on your statement and on the Bank’s website. We will investigate and make all necessary corrections as promptly as possible.

You are entitled to request a copy of your credit report from credit reporting agencies and to have credit reporting agencies investigate and correct any inaccuracies contained in their reports.

We understand your privacy concerns and want you to know the steps that have been taken to provide for the safety and security of your information by using our website.

Maintaining the Security of Customer Information Provided Through the Internet The Bank has made a commitment to assuring the security of information it exchanges through its online systems. The Bank maintains electronic and procedural safeguards in compliance with federal standards and provides "secure" Internet use by encrypting the information you submit.

This Privacy Policy is effective January 1, 2007. We reserve the right to amend or change this notice from time to time and will notify you of any material changes in accordance with applicable law.
